How do I get to the hostel?

Most guests fly into La Paz (LAP) and either taxi about 45 minutes or rent a car. San José del Cabo / SJD is usually about 2 hours by car. We can also arrange airport transport — just message us in advance.

Yes — a full community kitchen with sea views. All cooking gear is shared, and fridge space is open to all guests.

Is La Ventana safe (for gear, for guests)?

La Ventana is generally a calm Baja town. Private rooms have their own locks, and guests should use normal travel precautions. For expensive kite or camera gear, ask the team what they recommend before you arrive.

Should I bring pesos or buy them at the airport?

Pesos are easier to use here. La Ventana has a couple of ATMs, but they can be empty during high season — bring some cash from La Paz to be safe.

How do I find a good place to take kitesurfing lessons?

La Ventana is known for wind sports, with the strongest season usually running November through March and some shoulder days on either side. There are several kite schools in town — message us and we'll point you to whoever's running good lessons that season.
